Miriam Ahern hosted her annual Summer Lunch in aid of CARI at The Shelbourne Hotel today.
CARI provides a professional child therapy and counselling service to children and families who have been affected by child sexual abuse.
Stylish ladies, including Yvonne Connolly and Cecelia Ahern, were dressed in chic summer looks as they sipped on beverages courtesy of Marks & Spencer.

Blathnaid Ni Chofaigh was the MC for the afternoon, and after lunch – guests were entertained by Frankly Buble and a fun filled raffle.
Guests included Miriam Ahern, Terry Mc Coy, Sinead Moriarty, Marissa Carter, Nuala Carey, Paul Byrom, and Mary Byrne to name just a few.
Mary Flaherty CEO CARI said, “Our fundraising events remain very important to us. State funding remains static and if we are to grow our services again public donations and corporate support such as that provided each year by M&S to our signature lunch event are vital.

“Today I want to focus on the plight of the children on our waiting list. At any time in the last year the figure of children waiting for a service here in Dublin for up to a year have been in the high thirties.
“These include a two- year-old and three five year olds …. Our pleas to TUSLA the Child and Family Agency for additional funding falls on deaf ears. We will continue to make the case but meantime childhood slips by for these children shadowed by bad experiences.”
Money raised from the lunch is essential to CARI to maintain each and every one of these important services for children.
