Olivia Munn has revealed that “facing death” from cancer cured her “postpartum anxiety.”
The popular actress was diagnosed with breast cancer last year, just two months after she took a genetic test that had negative results.
In a post shared on Instagram in March, the mother-of-one shared several photos of herself in the hospital and told fans that she’s undergone four surgeries over the past 10 months – including a double mastectomy

During a sit-down interview with singer Kelly Clarkson in New York City, Olivia shared the one thing she learned during her health crisis.
“I couldn’t climb a mountain carrying all this extra weight,” the 43-year-old explained she had to let go of old bad feelings to take on her cancer battle.
Speaking to Vogue in a profile published Sunday, she said: “I have now had an oophorectomy and hysterectomy. I took out my uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries.”
Olivia admitted that the life-altering decision was “the best” option for her as doctors suggested stopping the production of estrogen, which luminal B breast cancer feeds on, from her body to prevent the cancer from returning.
“It was a big decision to make, but it was the best decision for me because I needed to be present for my family,” the 43-year-old told the outlet.
“I had friends try to cheer me up by saying, ‘Malcolm’s not going to remember this. Don’t worry.’ But I just kept thinking to myself, ‘I’m going to remember this, that I missed all these things.’”
“It’s his childhood, but it’s my motherhood, and I don’t want to miss any of these parts if I don’t have to.”
