Find out who will be replacing Beyoncé and headlining Coachella

Beyoncé cancelled her Coachella performance on the advice of doctors, and now her replacement has been revealed.

Lady Gaga is taking over as the Saturday headliner for both weekends of the music festival in April, Billboard reports.

Sources told the publication that an official announcement is set to be coming in the next few days.

Surprise!: Lady Gaga is set to headline Coachella after Beyoncé cancelled her performance

For now, the event organisers are working together to establish how they will bring Gaga’s production to Empire Polo Grounds in Indio, California.

Coachella will take place from April 14th to 16th and April 21st to 23rd, and Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar will also be headlining.

Beyoncé announced last week that she would no longer be performing at the festival, after revealing earlier this month that she is expecting twins with husband Jay Z.

“Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival,” a statement from her company read.

“However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”
