Alden Ehrenreich signs up for three Han Solo movies

Alden Ehrenreich has reportedly signed up for three Han Solo movies.

The 26-year-old was recently revealed as the new Han Solo, which was originally played by Harrison Ford, and will star in a Star Wars spin-off based on the character’s early life – but it looks like Disney is about to make a whole new series out of it.

“There is a real sense of excitement around the Han Solo movie and its potential,” a source told the NY Daily News.

“Given that Han’s early adventures do not need to be tied to the Empire, it leaves storylines open with the opportunity to really give fans something different.”

Star: Alden bagged the role as the new Han Solo

“They feel that his character has the right potential to become a central figure in several movies. They’re keeping things under wraps at the moment, but the deal is that he has signed for at least three movies,” they added.

Alden, who most recently starred in Hail Caesar! alongside George Clooney and Scarlett Johansson, beat out Irish actor Jack Reynor as well as Hollywood stars Miles Teller, Ansel Elgort and Scott Eastwood for the role.

The first Han Solo film is set for release on May 25, 2018.
