Mark Feehily has given fans a taster of his new solo music – releasing his debut single Live Is A Drug.
The Sligo singer, who now goes by Markus Feehily, revealed he has already made a music video for the new song, and it felt strange making a record without his Westlife band mates.
“I’ve been busy in the studio for the last two and a half years. I did my first video shoot the other day for the first single.
“It felt so different, but I have made 37 videos before,” he explained.
The new record comes just weeks after Goss.ie revealed Marcus has become a caterer, selling crepes and tea at music festivals.
Speaking to Breakfast Republic presenter Jennifer Maguire on 2FM, the singer said business is booming.
“I have lots of other interests outside music, I really love festivals and that’s probably what started the whole thing,” he explained.
“It’s a business, I like to keep myself busy. You can’t be in the studio all day everyday because you can wear down your creative side.

“It was just an idea we had when we were drinking cocktails in the back garden one summer. Now we have a business and it’s going really well.
“I said it in an interview a few weeks ago and the reaction exploded, it went viral online. It went quite big on the internet, great publicity all together.”
