X Factor boss Simon Cowell tried twice to turn Rosanna Davison into a pop star.

“I was only about 12 or 13 when Simon Cowell approached me and asked me if I could sing,” she said.
“He used to holiday at the same resort that my family go to in Mauritius. Sadly, I haven’t a note so I just laughed it off.”

“I was invited to appear at the British Comedy Awards in London, handing out a gong to Ant and Dec,” she told the Irish Sun.
“Simon was there and he marched up to me again. ‘Can you sing?’ was the first thing out of his mouth!
“But I had to break the news to him that my skills in that regard hadn’t improved.”
