Kim Kardashian met with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday to discuss prison reform.
The reality star was greeted by Trump, as well as other officials at the White House, including senior adviser Jared Kushner.
According to reports, the KUWTK star met with the President to request that Alice Marie Johnson be pardoned. Alice is a 63-year-old grandmother who is serving a life sentence for a first-time non-violent drug offence.
Following their meeting, Donald Trump tweeted a picture of the pair inside the Oval Office, alongside the caption, “Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing.”

Kim also tweeted, “I would like to thank President Trump for his time this afternoon. It is our hope that the President will grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson who is serving a life sentence for a first-time, non-violent drug offense.”
“We are optimistic about Ms. Johnson’s future and hopeful that she – and so many like her-will get a second chance at life,” she added.

Earlier that day, Kim had also tweeted, “Happy Birthday Alice Marie Johnson. Today is for you.”
Vanity Fair has reported that the E! reality star has been involved in private discussions with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump for months.
Alice Marie Johnson is currently serving a life sentence without parole, after being convicted of drug-related charges in 1997.
An online petition to grant clemency to Alice, which was started by her daughter, currently has over 250,000 signatures.
Kim Kardashian famously supported Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, but her husband Kanye West has controversially aired his support for Trump.
Before the election in 2016, the rapper met with Donald at Trump Tower in New York.
And just last month, Kanye raised eyebrows once again after posting a photo of himself wearing a ‘Make America Great Again’ cap.
