Ellie pleaded with listeners: “Dont be mean to me, I can’t hack it at the minute .”

Sharing a TikTok she had made that stayed in the draft, she said: “I made a tiktok the other night and I was roaring crying making it, it was really sad.”

“It was one of them picture ones, and you write things on it and i wrote things on it and it was like therapy for me it felt kinda good.”

Ellie revealed it was part of the “social media is fake” trend which has taken over the social media app, however she did not post it.

Bursting into tears and unable to read what she had written, she passed the phone to podcast co-host Charleen who reads it out for her.

The first slide side: “I pretend not to care about my weight or my body image but it’s honestly something that keeps me awake at night and im scared ill never be happy with how I look.”

Ellie then said: “How said is that like,” to which Charleen replied: No, you’re so beautiful.”

The second slide read: “My parents are truly the most important people in my life, but I always fear that im not doing enough to show them that.”

The third slide read: I’m surrounded by the best family and friends i could possibly have, but I’ve never felt more lonely in my 28 years and I’ve no idea why.”

Continuing her vulnerability, the next slide said: “I’m trying to convince myself and have publicly said I’m so fine being single when really I’m not, seeing my friends in relationships, married and having babies and being the only single one makes me feel like the problem is me and I’ll be forever alone.”

Charleen empathises with her and said “It is hard especially when all of the girls around you have babies,” but reassured her: “You’re not going to be forever alone.”

Lastly, Ellie wrote: “I compare myself to everyone on social media and I always feel like I have nothing to offer. I also always compare myself to how I used to be more active on social media and tell myself to be better but soemthing just stops me.”
