WATCH: Vogue Williams clashes with Niamh Horan on body-shaming

The two engage in a heated debate

Vogue Williams and Niamh Horan have clashed on the issue of body-shaming.

Niamh, who is a well-known journalist for the Sunday Independent, said that when people put up photos of themselves online, they should be able to deal with the responses they get.

However, Vogue revealed that she doesn’t think people have a right to comment on her body.

Speaking on Brendan O’Connor’s Cutting Edge, Niamh responded to Vogue by saying, “People absolutely have a right to do that. If you put your body out there for public consumption.

“You can’t just say ‘I want all the comments that people say to be nice things’. You have to take the rough with the smooth.”

Vogue then explained “I like to project a healthy body image. Then I have 200 or 300 people commenting saying you’re so fat, you need to lose 2 stone.”
