Saoirse Ronan is educating Americans one chat show at time on how to speak in an Irish accent.
Going on the charm offensive ahead of the Oscar nominations tomorrow, the Carlow native gave talk show host Stephen Colbert a few lessons on how to perfect his Irish brogue.
Starting out, the 21-year-old Irish taught him how to deliver an authentic accent with the sentence: “How’s it going, I’m Stephen”.
Receiving a positive response from the starlet, the US host then asked for the Brooklyn star’s help to pronounce a number of Irish names but none more important than hers.
Opening up on how many people interpret her name, the blonde beauty joked she gets wealth of attempts but never a correct one.
“I’ve had a lot of Sorsees, Suarez, Sarsee, Seershay,” she laughed.
