Britney Spears’ songs are used to scare off Somali pirates.
The songstress is one of the world’s most well-known and celebrated artists, who has had a string of number one hits every decade since the 90s.
“Her songs were chosen by the security team because they thought the pirates would hate them the most,” Merchant Naval officer Rachel Owens explained.

The officer revealed that the Somali pirates turn away when they hear Britney’s Toxic songs.
“These guys can’t stand western culture or music, making Britney’s hits perfect,” Rachel told Movie Pilot.
“As soon as the pirates get a blast of Britney, they move on as quickly as they can.”
Shockingly, the Navy doesn’t choose the mother-of-two’s latest hits but opts for her earlier music instead like Oops I Did It Again and Baby One More Time.
However, most of the world still loves Britney and recently applauded her when she handled a serious wardrobe malfunction like a pro.
