A 33-year-old man just bought the Playboy Mansion for $100 MILLION

The Playboy Mansion has been sold to a next door neighbour for $100 million.

Daren Metropoulos is officially the new owner of the infamous 5-acre estate which has seen some of the most famous people in the world enjoy the most glamorous parties.

As part of the deal Playboy Enterprises founder Hugh Hefner will continue to occupy the Mansion for his lifetime (yes, seriously).

Playboy will then pay the new owner $1 million a year for upkeep of the property while Hef is living there.

The phenomenal deal is believed to be the highest price ever paid for a Los Angeles home.

The Playboy Mansion was built in the 1920s and has 29 rooms. There’s also a heated swimming pool and of course the infamous grotto which was added in the 1970s.

The property also very bizarrely contains a zoo with exotic birds and monkeys, and is one of the only homes in L.A. to have a zoo license.

New owner Daren originally bought the house next door for $18 million in 2009, and renovated it, he now intends to connect the two estates together.
