Zara McDermott forced to leave Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals due to medical emergency

Zara McDermott was forced to leave Strictly Come Dancing rehearsals due to a medical emergency.

The former Love Island star had to leave her rehearsals with her dance partner, Graziano Di Prima, as her boyfriend Sam Thompson was taken to hospital over kidney complaints.

Zara is currently competing on the BBC dance show and has appeared in the bottom two over the last two weeks, facing elimination from the competition.

On his podcast Staying Relevant with Pete Wicks, Sam revealed: “Do you wanna know something worse?

“I made Zara leave her Strictly training early to come and see me at the doctors and it was just for the guy to go, ‘Yeah, you’re fine’.”

The former Made In Chelsea feared that he may have kidney disease.

Sam admitted earlier in the week that he felt he could have done more for his girlfriend Zara, as she faced elimination from the BBC show for two consecutive weeks in a row.

Last week, Zara and Graziano were saved, as all four of the judges voted in their favour – sending comedian Eddie Kadi and his professional partner Karen Hauer home.

On his radio show, Hits UK with Sam Thompson, the reality star shared with his listeners: “Zara was in the dance off again! It’s happening all too often and it’s very hard to take as a boyfriend because she comes back all deflated and she’s worked so hard.”

“I’ve got to be honest with you though I could have done a bit more!”

“I was a bit distracted by the rugby, by the World Cup and I didn’t go as big with my usual efforts on Instagram but I’m going to come back stronger this week though!”

This comes after the documentary maker revealed she has “banned” her beau from the next few live shows.

Originally, Sam was “forced” to stay at home so he could vote for Zara on his phone.

Now, the Made in Chelsea star has been snubbed from the upcoming shows because of limited ticket availability.

During her appearance on Good Morning Britain, Zara told co-hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid: “You only get two tickets a week. I have got all my family and friends on Rota’s because I want everyone to come and see me. You never know which week is going to be your last.”
