Piers Morgan has revealed he’s gone to the police after receiving terrifying death threats.
The Good Morning Britain presenter took to Twitter earlier this week, writing: “Another day, another death threat…”
The 55-year-old shared a screenshot of a shocking comment that had been left under one of his Instagram posts, which read: “This is not a threat Piers it’s a promise. You’re getting killed.”

Taking to Twitter on Wednesday, he wrote: “UPDATE: I’ve reported these death threats to @metpoliceuk and look forward to hearing back from them.”
“I’m also keen to hear what steps @instagram @Facebook are taking to identify the person who made the death threats on their platform & has now deleted their account.”
A follower replied to Piers, writing: “Unfortunately Piers when it comes to social media the police do very little… They don’t have the resources or time to trace accounts.”
Piers responded: “Well they’re definitely taking this seriously.. they’re round my house now taking a statement.”

The news comes after Piers interviewed Gemma Collins on his series Life Stories, where they discussed the downsides to fame.
He said: “I’ve got no problem with criticism of people, especially high profile people. You’re a celebrity who courts publicity, you’re a public figure, a politician, whatever you may be.”
“But this kind of, ‘I want you dead’ stuff is, it has no place in public discourse.”
