Love Island 2021 winner Liam Reardon addresses Millie Court split rumours

Love Island 2021 winner Liam Reardon has shut down rumours he and Millie Court have broken up.

During his appearance on Virgin Media One’s The Six O’Clock Show, the Welsh native confirmed he and Millie are still very much together, and called the split rumours “nonsense”.

He said of the speculation: “It can be frustrating, but you just have to block it out.”

The 22-year-old explained: “Before Love Island, I had my own life and so did Millie. Even though we’re together we still have our own lives, you know, we come home together and we do some amazing things together.”

“I think for a health relationship you still need to do your own things as well… and I think to the papers, us doing our own things, they say we’ve broken up, but obviously it’s all nonsense.”

Liam, who now lives with Millie in Essex, added: “Just cause we don’t post together 24/7 on social media, we live together 24/7 so that’s enough for us. We know we are happy together, and that’s all that matters.”

Liam said that “things have been absolutely amazing” since winning the popular dating show last summer.

“I’m so grateful for what Love Island has given me,” he said. “It’s changed my life.”

He admitted that he views everything that has happened since the show as “a bonus”, and urged this year’s contestants to do the same.

“I loved my life before Love Island, and everything that’s come after the show has just been a bonus, so don’t depend on too much coming your way. just be happy with what comes.”

Concluding his advice for the 2022 contestants, he said: “Keep your close family and friends around you, the ones who’ve been there from day one, just enjoy the ride,” adding: “Take things with a pinch of salt.”

Liam won the 2021 series of Love Island alongside his girlfriend Millie, and the couple split the £50k prize money.
