Laura Anderson apologises for missing her radio show after rushing her baby to hospital

Laura Anderson has apologised for missing her Capital FM breakfast show, after rushing her daughter, Bonnie, to hospital.

The Love Island star is the new host of the Scotland radio show, which is live every weekday from 6am until 10am with her co-presenter Fat Brestovci.

The presenter took to her Instagram to explain that she was forced to miss the show to bring her baby girl, who she shares with her ex Gary Lucy, to the hospital.

The mother-of-one revealed that she had a “tough night” after her baby had a “really high temperature and her heart rate spiked.”

She said: “I just wanted to apologise to the Capital listeners. I’ve not been able to make it into work this morning, unfortunately.”

“Bonnie comes first and I’ve not been able to get permanent childcare for her since starting the job. I don’t want to leave her with someone she doesn’t know until she’s better.”

“I know my co-host Fat is incredible by himself so the show will be amazing, and yes, I’ll be back tomorrow,” she added.

“It’s been a bit of a tough night, I need to try and get a urine sample from this little one. But thanks for all of your messages.”

The 34-year-old said: “Sorry to scare anyone, she’s just had a really high temperature over 39 when I got home yesterday and her heart rate spiked so we just need to get her checked out.”

Laura struck up a romance with her ex Gary when they met while filming E4 reality show Celebs Go Dating in 2022.

The couple announced they were expecting a baby in February 2023, but split soon after.

The Love Island star welcomed a baby girl named Bonnie on September 2nd 2023.

After welcoming their baby girl in September, the pair sparked speculation they were giving their relationship another shot – but it appears they’ve called it quits for good.
