Holly Willoughby’s Dancing On Ice future ‘revealed’ after This Morning exit

Holly Willoughby’s future at Dancing On Ice has reportedly been revealed.

The popular presenter began hosting the ITV show in 2006 alongside her former pal Phillip Schofield – who she also hosted This Morning with.

But according to The UK Sun, Holly is “in no rush” to return to present the 2024 series of the show, after details of an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her were revealed.

An insider told the publication: “Everyone around her – family, friends and her team – all agreed that a really decent break from work would do her the power of good.”

“After all, work begins on the skate show in December with shoots and promo, and nobody wants to place unrealistic expectations on Holly’s shoulders and have her feel she needs to rush back, especially because nobody knows how and when the court case will proceed.”

Holly announced her sudden departure from This Morning last week, after 14 years.

According to the MailOnline, the editor of the show allegedly found out Holly was quitting just 20 minutes before she shared the news on Instagram.

In a statement, the 42-year-old wrote: “I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.

“To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together.”

“Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.”

“Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day,” she continued.

“Richard and Judy said ‘we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’.”

“It’s been an honour to just be part of it’s story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.”

“I will miss you all so much,” she added, before signing off with, “Holly.”

Before her departure, Holly has been hosting This Morning with a rotation of guest presenters – following the departure of her co-host Phillip.

Phillip announced his sudden departure from the ITV show back in May, shortly before he admitted to having an affair with a younger male colleague.
