Giovanni Pernice is reportedly in talks to join Italian Strictly Come Dancing following his departure from the show.
The former Strictly pro came under fire in recent months for his “militant approach to training” after his dance partner Amanda Abbington left the show abruptly last year.
However, the dancer has denied any suggestion that he displayed “abusive or threatening behaviour” while working as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing.
Last week, the BBC confirmed that the professional dancer will not return for the new series of Strictly Come Dancing.
Following reports the 33-year-old had quit the show after eight years, the dancer wasn’t included in the list of professional partners for the 2024 series.
Amid reports a legal firm had contacted the BBC earlier this year regarding “numerous serious complaints” about his alleged behaviour, the 33-year-old vowed to clear his name.
A Strictly dancer has also claimed that they “needed therapy after starring on show with Giovanni.”

The MailOnline has now reported that Giovanni preparing to begin a new role on Dancing with the Stars in Italy.
A source told the publication: “Giovanni is in advanced talks to join the Italian version of Strictly, Dancing with the Stars.”
“Bosses are really keen to sign him as a judge given his fame and status in the UK but are also open to the dancer performing as a professional, if he still wants to compete.”
“It’s a great move for Giovanni, who has weighed up the possibility of doing shows like I’m A Celeb, but dance will always be his passion.”
‘”All he wants is a fresh start and to join Dancing with the Stars in Italian will certainly give him the new chapter he’s been hoping for,” they added.
