Cassie Stokes has opened up about coming out to her family three years ago.
The newest Xposé member, who’s filling in for Karen Koster on maternity leave, revealed that her family “were more than happy” when she finally came out to them and received incredible support.
“They were very accepting – even my 90-year-old grandma. She was like ‘Are you happy?’ and I said ‘Yes, I’m very happy,’ and she said, ‘Well then that’s all that matters,’” she told the Irish Daily Star.

The 28-year-old admitted that it was her friend Alice Delahunt who encouraged her to make the decision to tell her family about her sexuality.
“It was really difficult. I had my good friend Alice, the director of global social content at Burberry. She is also gay,” Cassie told the newspaper.
“She was such a great support. She came out a few months before me. It was great to have her. That’s why I actually came out at Christmas,” she added.
The news comes after Cassie’s co-host Glenda Gilson gushed to Goss.ie about how well she fit into the Xposé team.
