Tributes pour in for Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt

Tributes have been pouring in for former Home and Away star Jessica Falkholt.

The actress’ death has officially been announced after her life support was switched off in St George Hospital in Sydney last week. She passed away on Wednesday.

Jessica underwent surgery and was in a coma following a car crash which also claimed the lives of her parents, Lars and Vivian, her 21-year-old sister Annabelle, and the driver of the other vehicle.

A spokesperson for the hospital said, “Jessica passed away from serious injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident on 26 December, 2017. The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time.”

Since news of her death broke, many have paid tribute to Jessica, who played Hope Morrison on Home and Away in 2016.

Channel Seven, which broadcasts and produces the Australian soap, issued a statement saying, “Channel Seven and the entire Home and Away family is heartbroken to hear of Jessica Falkholt’s passing. ”

“Jessica’s shining talent was recognised and respected by all her cast mates and crew and her beautiful friendship treasured. We send our sincere condolences to her extended family and friends during this difficult time.”


Meanwhile, Jessica’s agent Lisa Mann said, “Beautiful Jess was loved and treasured by her family, friends and colleagues and our sympathies are with everyone today.”
