Home and Away actress Jessica Falkhort has life support switched off

The crash claimed the lives of her parents and her little sister

Home and Away actress Jessica Falkholt has had her life support switched off.

Just one day after her parents and little sister were laid to rest, Jessica’s life support machine was turned off in the Intensive Care Unit at St George Hospital.

According to the Daily Telegraph, the actress and her family were involved in a devastating car crash on the Princes Highway, New South Wales on Stephen’s Day.

The crash immediately claimed the lives of her parents, Lars, 69, and Vivian, 60. Jessica’s 21-year-old sister Annabelle died three days later on December 29, 2017.

According to reports, the driver of the other car Craig Whitall, 50, who also died in the crash had 10 previous driving convictions including a nine-year driving ban.

It was previously reported that he was driving home from a methadone clinic when the accident happened.

Police have also said that the crash was caused by one car being on the wrong side of the road.

Jessica underwent a number of major surgeries, including the removal of a kidney and a portion of her scull.

The 28-year-old was in a coma for several days, before her life support machine was turned off.

Jessica starred as Hope Morrison in popular Australian soap Home and Away back in 2016.
