The National Ploughing Association chief came on to talk about the championship on The Late Late Show but won viewers hearts with her wit.
Anna May McHugh invited Ryan Tubridy to take part in the championship and ride a tractor.
“I’m going to ask you now – are you going to take part in the ploughing competition?” she asked Ryan.
“No I’m not but thank you for asking,” the host told Anna May.
The Laois native did her best to tempt Ryan to take part saying she might give the judges “a little bribe.”
“If you can drive a car, you can drive a tractor.”

Viewers were head over heels for Anna May’s banter with the presenter.
Her fans – new and old – want her to run for president and Taoiseach if she ever wanted to step down from the National Ploughing Association.
Some of her fans even want her to have her own show.
Anna May for president! #LateLate #LateLateShow

Anna May would’ve made a great Taoiseach. Imagine her taking questions from windbags like Paul Murphy. She’d cut through him! #latelate
