Love Island’s Anton Danyluk finally reveals the REAL reason he split from Georgia Harrison

Love Island’s Anton Danyluk has finally revealed the real reason he split from Georgia Harrison.

Last month, The Sun reported that the couple had called it quits, following weeks of speculation.

Now, the Scottish star has set the record straight on what really caused their relationship to come to an end.

From ITV

Anton spoke to his mum, Sherie Anne, on their podcast What’s The Crack?, when he admitted: “I thought it would be best to talk about it on the podcast so you can hear it from the horse’s mouth.”

“In the press, a source said the distance was the issue, now we were in London every other week so I don’t think distance was the issue.”

The reality star continued: “Obviously, that wasn’t the case. I just wanted to clear up the whole break up in general. I think it’s we’ve come out of the villa and we tried to give it a fair go but I think it’s fair to say.”

Sherie added: “You did see each other quite a lot, but me being your mother I just knew within that it was actually just a really really good friendship, I think the two of you got more into that friendship with each other.”

“I just don’t think there was really that romantic spark there. We did both try. At times it was there but just not enough for it to continue as a relationship,” Anton said.

His mum confessed that “the fire never really sparked” between the pair, to which he replied: “Especially for Georgia, she had so many people on her side wanting it to work for her but it was just never there for her I don’t think.”

Sherie insisted: “You could see it was never there for Georgia.”

However, the Love Islander admitted that Georgia did try to make the relationship work.

A source told The Sun last month: “Georgia and Anton have split. They really tried hard to make the relationship work but ultimately the distance proved to much to manage.”

“Anton and Georgia are sad they couldn’t make things work but they broke up on good terms and will definitely stay friends.”

From ITV

Anton, 29, is based in his native Scotland, while Georgia, 29, lives down in Essex.

The reality stars finished in fifth place in the Love Island: All Stars final last month, but viewers were left questioning whether their romance was genuine.

While fans had their doubts, the couple were inseparable after leaving the South African villa, and shared snippets of their relationship on social media before their split.
