Louis Walsh considering axing TWO members of Stereo Kicks – after band nearly sent home

Louis Walsh is considering axing two boys from Stereo Kicks after the group were nearly voted off.

The X Factor mentor could have ended up being left with just one act after the eight-piece band took on Chloe-Jasmine Whichello in Sunday’s sing-off.

Now Louis is understood to be considering getting rid of two members to make it more like a conventional band.

However insiders told the Sun that Irish lad Chris Leonard would definitely survive – with Charlie Jones, 14, and Reece Bibby, 16, most likely to make way.

A source said: “Louis is looking at whether two should go. This is already being talked about with the group and the rest of the boys are open to it.

“It would be gutting for the two who go but they might have to sacrifice. Simon Cowell put the boys together but realises eight was wrong and has given his backing to a cull.”

And Louis has admitted that he never wanted eight members in the band ever – as a war of words broke out between himself and Simon Cowell.

He said: “Eight never worked in a boyband, but he put eight people together. Then he starts blaming me on live TV.

“I wouldn’t have eight people — I never wanted eight people in the band. Simon is the person that made the band an eight-piece.

“He said on air that I didn’t connect with the band. But I really work with them, they are always in my dressing-room.”

And Louis said he will now “talk to the boys” and “see if they want to do anything” about changing the group size.
