Line of Duty is reportedly set to return for a seventh season, after a new deal was reached.
The sixth season of the BBC series aired earlier this year, and over 12.8 million people tuned in to the finale.
However, many viewers were left disappointed with the episode, after finding out the identity of the “fourth man”.
According to a new report, the popular series will be back for a seventh run, but fans of the show may have to wait a while for new episodes.
A source told the Daily Star: “Another series is happening. This is the news millions of fans have been hoping for. A lot of stuff still needs to be agreed and it is likely to take a while.”
“Fans will probably have to wait a few years before it airs on TV.”
A rep for the BBC declined to comment.
