Comedian Brendan Grace is one of the three funny men coming on to the show to perform some stand up alongside Pat Shortt and Jason Byrne.

TV chefs Rachel Allen and Richard Corrigan will be teaching Ireland how to cook some unusual and unique festive treats.

The RTE Concert Orchastra will also be taking the stage with irish band Aslan, folk singer Finbar Furey and famed musician Glen Hansard to perform music on the night.

Last but not least, Alice Leahy from the Alice Leahy Trust will be in studio to give a timely reminder that there are many facing a difficult Christmas this year.
