PICS: Stars Wars lovers step out for the Irish premiere of Rogue One

The Irish premiere of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story took place at The Savoy in Dublin last night.

Plenty of Star Wars fans stepped out on the blue carpet for the first of the Star Wars standalone films, which will be an all-new epic adventure for fans of the franchise.

Film fanatic and 50 Ways To Kill Your Mammy star Baz Ashmawy posed with Stormtroopers and Darth Vader on the blue carpet.

Also spotted at The Savoy was model Brittany Mason, dressed for the occasion in a Star Wars sweatshirt and space buns, as well as Today FM’s Dermot Whelan.

Stylist Cathy O’Connor and RTÉ’s Jean Byrne were also snapped at the premiere.

The film’s synopsis reads, “In a time of conflict, a group of unlikely heroes band together on a mission to steal the plans to the Death Star, the Empire’s ultimate weapon of destruction.

“This key event in the Star Wars timeline brings together ordinary people who choose to do extraordinary things, and in doing so, become part of something greater than themselves.”
