“But when it comes to some of the more dangerous stunts that is when I stepped in,” he told the Mirror.

The 36-year-old, who hails from Skibbereen in Co. Cork, has worked on the show for two years now, and admitted that the shows action-packed nature requires a lot of planning from a stuntman’s point of view.

“The job is quite physically demanding – very early mornings and late knock-off – sometimes rehearsing all day, working choreography for fights and preparing stunts including wire work, high falls or fire work.”

Marc has also worked on other TV shows, including Vikings, Ripper Street and Penny Dreadful.

The stuntman revealed that the pressure to keep up appearances on shows like Vikings can be tough.

“They won’t let us cut our hair or shave, so yeah, there are times when you do feel a bit like a wildling,” he added.

The news comes after Kit Harington revealed that Liam Cunningham told him to f**k off after he lied to him about leaving the show.
