Damian McGinty has admitted that fans have sent him actual HAIR.
The actor starred as Rory Flanagan in the hit TV series Glee, and toured the world with band Celtic Fusion before launching his own solo career.
“A woman sent me a strand of her hair once.I was nearly sick, I hate hair, it’s my pet peeve, it’s the one thing I can’t stand,” he said.

Not all his gifts were as outrageous, as the singer was also given a signed Manchester United jersey.
“I just thought what am I supposed to do with this? But then another time a girl and her mother sent me a Manchester United signed shirt, their kindness shocked me,” he told the Irish Mirror.
“They weren’t there when I opened it, they didn’t see my reaction and I always try and get in touch and let them know how grateful I am but they didn’t know would they get a response.
“So it’s literally them just being really kind people.”

Damian joined Glee in season three when it was already an established show, but also admitted that he wanted to bring something new to the screen.
“I joined at the beginning of series three and they already had a profile and had reached crazy fame so of course that was intimidating.
“I just remember thinking I hoped to be able to add to the show and bring something new and fresh because they clearly didn’t need any additions as they were doing so well,” he added.
“All those things were going through my head joining an already successful show. It ended up going great so I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”
