Dr Eva Orsmond will join Ray D’Arcy this weekend to talk about the first live elimination on Dancing with the Stars, and her upcoming documentary Medication Nation on the use and abuse of prescription and over-the-counter medicines in Ireland.
She will be joined by some of the contributors from the documentary and will reveal footage of some of her shocking findings for the first time.
The renowned blues singer Mary Coughlan will also join Ray on this weekend’s show to outline how her life has been transformed after a life saving operation last September – when she had stents put into her heart.
Following several episodes where Mary said she felt like ‘an elephant was sitting on her chest’, she was told that part of her heart would have had little or no blood for years.
She had 99 per cent blockage in one artery, 97 per cent blockage in another and two blockages in her third artery. Now, nearly 6 months on, Mary says she feels, looks and even sings better. She will also perform one of her biggest songs.
