Una Healy reveals hopes to reunite The Saturdays

Una Healy has revealed her hopes for The Saturdays to reunite, as it’s the band’s 10th anniversary this year.

The girlband went their separate ways in 2015, and Una has since released her debut country-inspired album.

While Una is loving solo life, she admitted that performing isn’t quite the same without her former bandmates – Mollie King, Frankie Bridge, Rochelle Humes and Vanessa White.

“When it comes to that, we aren’t complete without all five of us. Sometimes we had to perform as a three or four when one of us wasn’t well and it’s just not the same. It feels weird,” she told Star magazine.

“We’re all on a break at the moment and we haven’t put any plans in place. A lot of group reform and still do their own stuff alongside it, so personally – and I can’t speak on behalf of everybody – but I’d absolutely love to do some new stuff together.”

“It’s The Saturdays tenth anniversary this year. That’s when the nostalgia kicks in and people will really want us back more than ever.

“We never wanted to say, ‘That’s it, we’re finished!’ But just felt it was right for us to take a break. It means we’ll come back fresher and stronger,” she added.

The mother-of-two also admitted that she would love to collaborate with Ed Sheeran.

“I would really love to work with Ed Sheeran. He’s the number one. My first single, Stay my Love, was co-written with Amy Wedge, who wrote Thinking Out Loud with Ed, so hopefully she might put in a good word for me!”

Una’s new album The Waiting Game is out on February 10.
