The first official snap of Kat and Alfie Moon in their spin-off series Redwater has been revealed.
The series, filmed in Waterford, will see actors Shane Richie (Alfie) and Jessie Wallace (Kat) flee to fictional Irish village Redwater on the hunt for Kat’s long lost son, Luke.
The BBC One drama will be a six-part series and is set to broadcast next year, and promises that “Kat’s quest for the truth uncovers secrets that the village of Redwater would rather were left buried at sea”.

The series boasts a strong Irish cast, including Maria Doyle Kennedy (Orphan Black, Sing Street), Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones), Fionnula Flanagan (Lost), Peter Campion (Brooklyn, Sing Street) as well as Angeline Ball and Stanley Townsend.
The news comes after Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace had lunch with President Michael D. Higgins last month.
