The first guests for the return of The Late Late show is…

Michael Conlan is the first guest to appear on the Late Late Show.

The RTE show is set to return this Friday and Ryan Tubridy teased an “Olympian feel” to the show to Goss.ie a short while ago.

The boxer made headlines this summer at the Rio Olympics when he lost his match to Russian sports star Vladimir Nikitin.

Irish fans were annoyed by his defeat – with many claiming that the Olympics was fixed, and even Bressie said he was sick of the rampant corruption in boxing.

The 24-year-old was snapped outside of the ring and getting his suit fitted for the show by his tailor, Chris Suitor.

“He’s home, and he’s ready to take on the world as a pro,” Chris tweeted.

Also joining Michael on the couch are Olympic silver medalists Paul and Gary O’Donovan.

The brothers have become two of the most popular sports stars to return to Ireland after the hilarious interviews they’ve given over in Rio.

They returned home yesterday to Skibbereen in Co. Cork to fanfare, and paraded through their city on top of a double decker bus.

Another Olympic champion who will be on RTE Friday night is Annelise Murphy who won silver in her sailing race.

Minister for Sport Shane Ross will also be on the show to talk about the infamous Rio ticket scandal.

The Late Late Show returns to RTE One this Friday at 9.35pm.
