EXCLUSIVE: TV3 will look at buying tacky 'new Tallafornia' series for 3e

TV3 has refused to rule out buying Ireland’s new tacky reality TV series to air on 3e.

The broadcaster has got rid of Tallafornia after two series, with a new show hoping to take its place.

Goss.ie revealed this weekend that former Tallafornians Nikita Murray, Marc O’Neill and Phil Penny have signed up as part of the cast of Infectious.

They are also joined by people including controversial glamour model Ava Van Rose and Gay Night host David D-Pole for the tacky new series.

Now TV3 has told Goss.ie they “wouldn’t rule out” the show on 3e – but it will depend on the quality of the filming.

Boss Jeff Ford has cleaned up the main channel substantially since taking over the station, so it would only end up on sister channel 3e.

A spokeswoman told Goss.ie: “Jeff Ford always said that he wouldn’t rule out another series of Tallafornia or a similar show for 3e, but it would only ever air on 3e.

“I can’t rule out the below altogether – it really depends on what the production is like and if Jeff feels it’s something that could work well for 3e.”

It is produced by Irish production company Alonze Productions.

Already, UTV Ireland has said they won’t be buying the series, after it was claimed they were in the market for it.

It is also unlikely RTE will be interested, given they have their own new reality series coming – which has been dubbed an updated Fade Street.

Before Tallafornia’s second season ended it quickly became one of TV3’s most talked about shows.
