Darren Kennedy and Vogue Williams lead the way for the IFTA’s newest television award – the Rising Star award.
The television awards take place this October and will be broadcasted on TV3.
Previous winners of film award’s Rising Star include Jamie Dornan in 2014, Domhnall Gleeson in 2011, Michael Fassbender in 2009 and Saoirse Ronan in 2008.

Other nominees include Robot Wars presenter Angela Scanlon, Republic of Telly’s Kevin McGahern, TG4’s Máire Treasa Nà Dhubhghaill and comedian Al Porter.
The award recognises the skill, talent and professionalism of the leading young Irish broadcaster who are blazing a trail across Irish and international TV screens.
“This Award acknowledges the skill and talent of six ‘young guns of Irish television’ who have shown themselves to be skillful, confident and fearless TV presenters,” IFTA CEO Aine Moriarty said in a press release.
“No doubt the future holds exciting opportunities ahead for each as they continue to impress Irish and international audiences.”
The vote is open to the public and you can vote here starting from 9am on the 13th of September.
