Chris O’Dowd is rumoured to front a new TV series based on Elmore Leonard’s book Get Shorty.
The Get Shorty story was previously made into a movie back in 1995, which starred John Travolta, but now the tale is heading to the small screen.
According to Deadline, the series will see Roscommon native Chris play the lead character Miles Daly.

Chris’ character is a mob guy, living in Nevada who wants to make a better life for his young daughter – so he leaves for Los Angeles to become a film producer.
Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano is also rumoured to join the series as Chris’ co-star, and will play Miles Daly’s film producer partner.
