Celebrity Big Brother launch date officially confirmed

The launch date for the rebooted version of Celebrity Big Brother has finally been confirmed.

The hotly-anticipated new series will start on Monday, March 4th, at 9pm on ITV in the UK, and Virgin Media Two in Ireland.

Hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best, Celebrity Big Brother: Live Launch will reveal the new cast of famous faces who are entering the iconic Big Brother house, as they embark on the ultimate social experiment and become isolated from the outside world.

Leaving luxury behind, the celebrities will take part in nominations and tough tasks with cameras capturing their every move.

Who will win the hearts of the viewers, go all the way to the finish line and be crowned the winner?

The launch date was confirmed just hours after it was reported that Louis Walsh has signed up to appear on the new series.

A “close associate” told The Sun: “He is one of the most intriguing signings for Celebrity Big Brother because he has almost half a century of experience in showbusiness to recall when he enters the house.”

“Viewers will be most interested in his memories of his time on The X Factor and working with huge music acts including Westlife and Boyzone.

“But there may be a few celebrities outside the house who are feeling nervous about what he might say, because Louis is notoriously outspoken.”

Louis has managed major bands like Westlife, Boyzone and Girls Aloud throughout his career, and famously appeared as a judge on The X Factor from 2004 – 2014, before he returned from 2016 to 2017.

Other stars linked to the lineup include Love Island’s Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu, Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith, and Amir Khan’s wife Faryal Makhdoom.
