Aidan Turner fans rejoice – there is now a Poldark colouring book

You can now colour in your very own Ross Poldark

Aidan Turner’s Poldark has been made into a colouring book.

The actor’s hit BBC show is one of the most popular series on TV right now – but creator of the colouring book, Stacey Guthrie, weirdly admitted that she “hates Poldark.”

“I must be the only woman in the country who doesn’t fancy Aidan Turner,” she said.

Stacey revealed she uses humour in her work to make serious statements – and has created a colouring book of 19 illustrations to contrast the cosy, idealistic image of Cornwall portrayed by the popular period drama to the real life issues of the modern world.

“I liked the original of the show – my dad was actually in that – but I think the modern version is prissy and doesn’t show the real issues going on in Cornwall,” she told the West Briton.

“There is poverty around so much so that food banks are needed and there are a high number of drug addicts.

“I didn’t expect them to show all of those kinds of things but Poldark just shows Cornwall as a pretty museum of how it used to be and people visit thinking it is like that.”

The books are £6 not including posting with £1 donated towards the Hayle food bank and can be ordered through Stacey’s email at [email protected] or her Facebook page.
