PICS: Winner Alright as fashion stakes are high in Punchestown

Day one of Punchestown was colourful and stylish with attendees putting their best foot forward.

While owners and trainers focused on the four legged filly’s, we were keeping an eye on the glamour and glitz.

Enda Kenny was on hand to congratulate the winner of Day 1 Best Dressed, Kirsty Farrell.

The winner wore a stunning wine coloured midi skirt matched with a white halterneck and sensibly wore a black faux fur stole.

The Newry native matched her ensemble with black heels, a black bag with gold trim and a stunning black and grey feathered head piece.

And the Taoiseach wasn’t the only familiar face to hit the racecourse as RTÉ presenters donned their Sunday best for the popular festival.

Miriam O’Callaghan wowed in a white two piece suit and black fascinator while her colleagues Marty Morrisey and Michael Lyster looked dapper in navy suits while keeping it relaxed with no tie.

Dublin’s finest footballers, Paul Flynn and Bernard Brogan took time from the pitch to check out the track.

Paul was trendy in a checkered navy/ grey suit and his team mate Bernard kept it cool in blue.

Punchestown Racing Festival takes place until Saturday May 2nd with the overall Best Dressed winner being announced this Friday.

Day 1 judge Rosaan Davison wore a muted navy dress matched with an eye catching baby pink floral head piece.

Rosie jetted in on a helicopter to take her place as judge. Today Gillian Quinn and Lottie Ryan have the tough task of judging the best dressed.

Later in the week, Greek goddess Georgia Salpa will take over judging hot seat, just weeks before her Italian wedding.
