Transformers star Jack Reynor is being sued for allegedly mowing down two women in his car – and will appear in court next year.
The Wicklow actor, 22, is being sued for at least $25,000 in a US lawsuit according to TMZ, with it claimed he slammed into them in his car two years ago.
Loren Dehenes and Julie Shepherd say that they have suffered a loss of earnings as well as medical bills due to his negligence behind the wheel.
According to the lawsuit, they were at a crosswalk at Franklin Avenue and Beachwood Drive in Los Angeles when Jack plowed into them – throwing them into the air and straight onto the hood of his vehicle.
One of the women claims to have had injuries to her knee at back, while the other says she suffered head trauma and hurt her leg.

In court documents, they are claiming “general negligence” and say that Reynor was driving his car “so as to cause injuries and damages to the plaintiffs”.
Explaining the reasons for liability, they say: “At said time and place, defendant, and each of them so negligently, owned, maintained, operated, entrusted, and/or drove a motor vehicle so as to cause injuries and damages to the plaintiffs.
“Plaintiffs were injured and sustained damages as a direct legal cause of Defendants’ negligence and but for the negligence of Defendants, and each of them, Plaintiffs would not have been injured and sustained damages.”
Under California law, they are seeking $25,000 or more in damages — but a jury could award an unlimited amount.

It would have taken place as he was starting to film Transformers, which has shot him to worldwide superstardom playing race car driver Shane Dyson.
It was also an extremely tough time, as his mum Tara was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012.
He said: “It was as bad as you can possibly imagine, a really dark time. I didn’t know whether my mother would live or die. I was at the end of my tether.”
The 22-year-old is currently getting ready to marry fiancee Madeline Mulqueen.
He has thirty days to file a written response to the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles.
