Too Hot To Handle’s Nicole O’Brien ‘dating’ Love Island star

Nicole O’Brien is reportedly “dating” Love Island USA’s Cormac Murphy.

The Cork native recently split from her Too Hot To Handle co-star Bryce Hirschberg, admitting her long-distance relationship with the star – who lives in the United States – was challenging during the coronavirus lockdown.

The reality star is now said to be dating the Clare native, after chatting online over the summer and jetting off to the Amalfi Coast in Italy off earlier this week.

“Nicole and Cormac began swapping messages during the summer following her split from Bryce,” a source told RSVP.

“Cormac was single after returning home to Clare following a number of years living in New York.

“They haven’t put a label on their romance just yet, they are only dating for now.

“The Italy trip went so well that they even extended their trip to spend more time together.”

Nicole recently spoke with The Sun about her break-up with Bryce, saying: “Bryce and I were seeing each other and trying to work on long distance and then Covid hit, which was not the ideal situation when you’re trying to work on that.

“I had three flights booked throughout summer to see him and he was meant to come over but we just left things.

“We thought, let’s be realistic, we won’t see each other for at least a year but we’re still in contact. I’d still class him as one of my good friends.

“We got on so well, we’re very similar in interests and he’s such a gentleman, he’s so lovely,” she added.

“Usually American humour isn’t my type but he was my type the more I got to know him. We’re still talking away but we’re leaving it for now and we’ll see what happens next year when the world opens up again.”

The 23-year-old admitted she found being single in lockdown challenging: “I haven’t been on a date in a while because of lockdown.

“You do the FaceTimes etc and then you go for a socially distanced drink but it’s not the same, it’s s***e.”
