The late Shane MacGowan has reportedly left a final gesture for mourners at his funeral.
The Pogues frontman was laid to rest in Nenagh, Co. Tipperary on Friday afternoon.
The songwriter was honoured by many including Johnny Depp, who read a Prayer of the Faithful, lead singer of U2, Bono, and former Sinn Fein TD Gerry Adams, who both did a reading at the beginning of the mass.

The Independent and the MailOnline have reported that the singer allegedly had €10,000 put behind the bar of his favourite pub, after his funeral.
The afters was reportedly held at The Thatched Cottage in Nenagh, Co Tipperary, where friends and family paid tribute to the late star.
The funeral was held at St Mary’s of the Rosary in Nenagh, the parish in which Shane spent his early childhood.
At the end of the service, Glen Hansard and Lisa O’Neill sang MacGowan’s most famous and beloved song, Fairytale of New York.
During the performance, mourners gathered at the top of the church and danced to the iconic Christmas tune.

Previously during the ceremony, Australian rocker Nick Cave also took to the altar to sing Shane’s 1986 hit A Rainy Night In Soho.
Shane passed away on November 30, at the age of 65.
Earlier that day, Shane’s funeral cortege passed through the streets of Dublin this morning, with thousands of people lining the streets to pay their final respects.
The procession was led by the Artane Band and a piper between Ringsend and Pearse Street from 10.30am to 11.45am.
It then crossed Westland Row and Lincoln Place into Fenian Street and then travelled to Denzille Lane where the coffin was transferred back into the hearse privately.
The songwriter’s funeral cortege ended at Sweny’s Pharmacy on Lincoln Place, a famous Victorian era pharmacy that opened in 1847 and featured in James Joyce’s, Ulysses.
