Former RTÉ Newsreader Aengus MacGrianna has admitted a viral video of him doing his makeup in between takes will “never go away”.
The broadcaster was caught topping up his makeup on camera, and the clip quickly went viral worldwide.
The presenter even landed a spot on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
While the incident happened over seven years ago, Aengus has admitted it follows him to this day.
“It is always a distant memory until somebody mentions it. Even a week after it happened I was trying to make it a distant memory,” he told RSVP Live.
“I saw the funny side of it and I can see why everyone thought it was hilarious. But I was surprised by how big it became at the time.
“Anything that is online never goes away and that is the truth,” he added.
Aengus left the station in 2018, after working in the station since 1987.
