Robyn Flanagan has revealed she is “proud” of husband and rugby star Joey Carbery after he announced a major career change.
Last week, the happy couple announced that they had welcomed their first child together.
The doting parents shared the happy news on social media, confirming they are now proud parents to a baby boy.

Posting a photo of their adorable newborn on Instagram, they wrote: “You’re finally here. Welcome to the world our beautiful baby boy
Just days after the birth of his son, Joey announced a major career move as he revealed he has stepped down from the Munster rugby squad.
Sharing the news on social media on Thursday, Joey wrote: “It was one of the toughest decisions I’ve had to make to step away from Munster.”

“Coming down at the age of 22 and spending 6 years here has been incredible, despite all the tough times with injuries and selection.”
“The ups outweigh everything, the supporters, coaches and staff, and most importantly, the players I’ve had the privilege to get to know are so special to me.”
“I will cherish their friendships and the memories we had together dearly. I can’t thank you all enough for everything.”
“Thank you for all the great days in Thomond and Musgrave, the Munster supporters are always incredible.”
“I’m very excited for the next few years, both with my career and my little family, Au revoir for now.”
Robyn showed her support for her husband as she shared Joey’s post, and wrote: “Proud of you. Excited for our new adventure xx.”
It is unknown what Joey’s next move will be but one can assume it may be a move to a French team as a result of the rugby star signing off with an “Au revoir” and Robyn hinting at their “new adventure.”
