Rob Kearney's secret new girlfriend given the seal of approval – by his BROTHER

Rugby star Rob Kearney’s new love has been given the seal of approval by the most important person in his life – his brother.

The Leinster player has been secretly dating Jess Redden for the past year, choosing to keep her out of the limelight.

Now sources have told Goss.ie that Rob’s brother Dave is a massive fan of the 21-year-old – and is delighted his brother is happy.

“Obviously being brothers, Rob and Dave are extremely close – and would always ask for each other’s advice on everything from girls to what they’re wearing,” an insider said.

“And Dave has met Jess a number of times over the past year, and absolutely loves her. He thinks his brother is in the right place romantically, and is just so happy for him.”

They have been seen on each other’s arms at restaurants and bars around Dublin – and at a number of concerts together.

He had been trying his hardest to keep his relationship – which was “one of the worst-kept secrets rugby circles” – with the Dundrum native under wraps.

Previously Rob dated Footballers Wives star Susie Amy, 33, for nearly four years.

They initially split for a year 2012, before rekindling their love a year later – before deciding to properly call it quits.

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Rob showed off his romantic side when he took Jess to one of Ed Sheeran’s sell-out concerts in Dublin last week.

The 28-year-old was joined by brother Dave for the gig at the 3Arena, although he was careful to avoid being too affectionate in public.

He has just opened up a new bar – The Bridge 1859 – with brother Dave and fellow players Jamie Heaslip and Sean O’Brien but Jess was not at the opening night.
