Police are not treating Dolores O’Riordan’s death as suspicious, it has been revealed.

The Cranberries lead singer was found dead at a hotel in London’s Park Lane on Monday morning.

Dolores was in London to record a cover of Zombie with hard rockers Bad Wolves.

A police spokeswoman has confirmed that the case had now been passed on to a coroner, saying, “Police in Westminster have dealt with a sudden death. Officers were called at 09.05am on Monday 15 January to a hotel in Park Lane, W1.”

“A 46-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious. A report will be compiled for the coroner.”

A spokeswoman for the London Hilton on Park Lane said, “It is with deep regret that we can confirm a guest sadly passed away at the hotel on Monday 15 January. We offer our sincere condolences to their family at this difficult time.”

Since the news of her death broke, tributes have been pouring in for the singer. 

Major stars including Bono and Johnny Depp also paid tribute to Dolores during Shane MacGowan’s birthday celebrations at the National Concert Hall on Monday night.
