Alan Hughes and Karl Broderick threw a star-studded anniversary bash over the weekend, to celebrate 25 years of their panto.

The couple were joined by a host of their famous friends at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, as they also celebrated 30 years together.

An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar was among guests, as well as Claire Byrne, Muireann O’Connell, Tommy Bowe, Karen Koster, Martin King and Jenny McCarthy, and Adele King aka Twink.

The guest list also included Mary Byrne, Alan Amsby, Jenny Dixon and husband Tom Neville, and model agent Mandy Maher.

The Brass Monkeys made a rousing entrance to start proceedings, followed by some of Ireland’s top drag performers Davina Devine and Dolly Grip and a special surprise from the legendary Mr Pussy.

Some past and present panto performers put on a surprise musical set and the night was topped off with a belting performance by X Factor star Mary Byrne.

This year’s panto will be a special 25th anniversary production at the National Stadium – Sammy, Buffy and the Beanstalk.
