These are the people Irish Gogglebox producers are looking for

If you want a spot on the Irish version of Gogglebox then you better get caught up on your knowledge of GAA.

Producers of the hit show are looking for sports fans for the first ever Irish series.

The team behind the production have said they are particularly looking for “GAA lovers from across the nation to voice their opinions on what’s on the telly.”

According to the Herald producers really want regional families to star in the show.

“In Ireland, they’re going to focus on regional families, so there will probably be a family from Dublin, maybe one from a rural, farming background and then a sports-mad GAA family,” a source told the publication.

“They’re keen to get a good cross-section of families so that viewers will find it more relatable.

“They particularly want big characters who aren’t afraid to speak their mind – and who love watching television,” they added.
