Evelyn Williams completely stole the show on Ireland’s Got Talent this weekend.
The singer, aged 82, broke down about losing her husband seven years ago, before taking to the stage.
It’s clear the nation had already fallen in love with Evelyn, before she even began to serenade the audience with Send In The Clowns.
It was the first act of the season to receive the golden buzzer, meaning she will automatically go into the semi-final of the show.
And if you think you may already recognise her, that’s because she’s often an extra on RTE show Fair City.
RTE presenter Nuala Carey confirmed to Goss.ie that she’s spotted Evelyn on the lot before and she’s often starred as an extra on the show.
“She’s a regular extra on the programme,” Nuala said. “You’ll often see her in the background”.
