Laurence Kinlan has admitted that he was nearly abducted when he was just 10 years old.
The Love/Hate star is known for his role as Elmo on the show.
“I remember crying my eyes out because I knew I was almost kidnapped,” the actor revealed.

The Dubliner opened up that the strange man asked him to help find his dog when he was playing with his friends.
“I had just turned 10 and was playing with my mates when a man approached me.
“He said ‘Would you help me find my dog?'” the 33-year-old admitted on Simon Delaney’s Behind the Scenes podcast.
“He wanted me to walk up towards Buckingham Street.

Fortunately, Laurence was smart enough to know how to escape the terrifying situation.
“So, being streetwise, I said yeah but as soon as I got to my door I screamed for my ma and da.
“He ran to the corner, hopped in a car with an English registration and flew off.”
